My work with clients is to first listen and understand their experiences while offering them a safe and non-judgmental place to express themselves. The relationship and connection between each individual client and myself is vital for the healing process to take place. I have specialized training in Internal Family Systems Therapy that offers a compassionate way for clients to express "parts" of themselves that act and react to situations. This therapy provides the client with awareness of themselives and healing at their own pace. I also have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
I have worked with clients to reduce stress and anxiety with Guided Imagery and relaxation techniques and am experienced in helping them feel more centered and connected to their bodies through breath work and mindfulness. I have worked with late teens, adults and elders with substance use disorders, anger issues domestic violence, depression, anxiety, grief and trauma issues.
